Prior to seeing this film I had never seen Margaret Keane's works and yet I notice an uncanny similarity between what she did as an artist and what I'm trying to accomplish. I also recognize other artists in her work who speak a similar language. Dilka Bear comes to mind immediately. I love her work too.
Movie was definitely inspirational. Her husband's theft, lies and dominance leading to domestic abuse was a dark and pitiful illustration of ambition and desperation gone wild. The movie touched on ideas about sources of inspiration, evolution, the business of art... Great way to spend my time. Growth fam. That's all. Growth.
